Banni has a first degree in Mathematics and has worked in Mental Health and with the NHS. She became interested in complementary therapies some years ago. Her degree in Acupuncture (Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element) is from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading. In her treatments, she also uses fire cupping, moxibustion and Tuina. Banni is a Reiki-Scheme Master and qualified Reflexologist and works as a therapist for the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre (CCHC).
Her extensive training means that Banni is well suited to treating a wide range of physical, mental and emotional conditions. In particular, the 5-Element style of acupuncture focuses on treating a person’s underlying constitution and this can lead to profound changes in their sense of well-being. Her individualized treatment plans typically focus on both the physical and emotional aspects of health and well being. Banni also has a special interest in women’s heath, pregnancy and fertility issues and has completed postgraduate courses in this area.
Banni is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Association of Reflexologists and is bound by Codes of Ethics and Safe Practice including the use of single-use, hygienic, disposable acupuncture needles. She follows safety procedures approved by the Department of Health and is committed to ongoing professional development.
